  The C-Horse Assistants
<empty>"A horse doesn't care how much you know
until he knows how
much you care."
—Pat Parelli

Our assistants are used to working with a variety of people and are all gentle and patient. Ifyou treat them with respect, they will return the favor. Several of the horses were rescued from abusive environments and now return the love they receive with gratitude. They are all wonderful personalities and you'll love getting to know them.
    Domino our assistant domino
Domino was a former saddle-bronc bucking horse on the rodeo circuit from ages 2 to 6 years, but he never bucked Debbie off. When he was purchased, Debbie was told the dent in his forehead was a result of physical abuse. Domino is very wise and has profound lessons for humans! He's now 27 years of age.
    Lacey
Debbie always wanted a paint mare to breed and she got that with Lacey. Lacey is a Colorado native, born on a large ranch. When she was purchased in February, 2001, she was 1.5 years of age, and very fat. The rancher swore she was not pregnant, just fat. But, low and behold, on Memorial Day, 2001, she foaled Stormy. Lacey is 9 years old and a great riding horse. our assistant lacey
    Stormy
She was named "Summer Storm" or "Stormy" because she was birthed during a horrific hail and rain storm! As soon as the weather changed and began to rain, her mother began labor pains and Stormy was born, Memorial Day, 2001. We observed the entire birth process. As a foal Stormy loved to sit on Debbie's lap! She can't now! Stormy is 7 years old and has separation anxiety when she's away from her mother. our assistant stormy
    Billy
Billy was purchased from a miniature horse and pony rescue in Colorado. He was taken from his mother at 2 months old, and we purchased him at 10 months and he's 7 now. Our daughter-in-law found him on the internet, and it was love at first site! Billy loves doing learning activities with humans! He has recently learned to pull a cart! He’s quite good, and very fast. Billy has severe anxiety issues, and we have to work through the anxiety when he is first hitched to the cart. After a few minutes, he does quite well. our assistant billy
    Bobby
Bobby was also purchased from a miniature horse and pony rescue. In fact, when we were going to get Billy, we were told the two could not be separated, so we purchased them both! Bobby was trampled by larger horses when he was around 4 months old. We got him at 9 months old, and this year he is 7! Bobby pulls a cart quite well, and is used in children’s fairs, proudly providing rides for the kids. He seems to be made for this and really enjoys it. our assistant bobby
    Petunia
Miss Petunia is 7 years old. She was given to Debbie as a birthday gift! She was born in Colorado, and has given pony rides, (to kids who weigh under 40 pounds), and she used to ride in a golf cart! She runs C-Horse Ranch, and is loved by all! our assistant petunia
    Mocha
Mocha was adopted in 2009 after his owner died. He's a spunky little fellow who manages to find way to escape the corral despite out best efforts to keep him in. He is 8 years old and so cute that he's a big hit at therapy sessions and seminars. He'll be with us for many years yet, helping people and charming everyone he meets. new assistant
