“This was the best training I’ve ever attended!”
—Anastasia Remmes
from Mommy’s Merry-Go-Round

wear a variety of clothes to work with horses because it will usually be outdoors

"Half the failures in life arise from pulling in one's horse as he is leaping."
—Julius & Augustus Hare

What To Wear

Wear comfortable clothing: All training sessions are held either outdoors in a round pen, a pasture, a paddock area, or inside in unheated buildings. You will be exposed to a barnyard environment that has hay, dust, and manure. It is imperative that you dress appropriately. It is better to overdress and be able to remove extra clothing than it is to underdress and become chilled or uncomfortable. It is always advisable to wear sunscreen on exposed body parts. Please remember that you are dressing to work outside, (or in a barn), with a horse.
arrow Long pants (not shorts)
arrow Boots or closed shoes (not sandals, as horses are very heavy!)
arrow Long-sleeved shirt (layered clothing, as it’s easier to get cooler, than to find clothes to get warm!)
arrow Hat (for your own personal shade!)
arrow Sunscreen
arrow Bring some gloves!

Even if the weather is moderate, the ground may be cold, damp, or muddy.
